Ayasa Otsuka scored a last gasp try to claim a 24-20 victory for Japan in their first ever test match against Scotland.

The victory ensures that the Japanese team secure an unbeaten European tour and shortens the odds on them qualifying for the 2021 World Cup.

An almost unchanged team fought until the last whistle and came back from a 10 point deficit with 20 minutes remaining on the clock.

With three minutes to go, Scotland were leading 20-17 with the ball in the Japanese 22 but a penalty saw a change in possession and the visitors took full advantage with Ayasa Otsuka seizing the opportunity and getting the ball over the line with only moments remaining.
