Republic of Ireland's manager Vera Pauw expects Euro qualifiers to go ahead despite coronavirus fears

Republic of Ireland manager Vera Pauw says she expects her side's two Euro qualifiers to go ahead despite coronavirus fears.

Ireland will host Greece in Dublin on Thursday and then travel to Montenegro next Wednesday.

The Football Association of Ireland's stance is that they will go ahead despite Six Nations fixtures being called off in the country. Other sporting events throughout Europe have also been postponed.

Pauw said: "We take the advice of the health service. There comes a moment when you feel if it's not close to you, it becomes a marketing issue. 

"We just go with the advice of the health service, they monitor it and they say to act as normal."

Their match against Greece is expected to break the attendance record for a female football game in the country.
