Premier 15s side Sale Sharks have signed two more players to add to their roster and this time it’s a Scottish international duo.

The first is second row Nicola Howat who has seven caps for Scotland.

The 23 year-old has previously played for the Howe of Fife and Edinburgh University.

She said: “I’m very excited to get started with Sale Sharks, I’m looking forward to challenging myself in Premier 15s competition and thrilled to get to do it with an ambitious team like Sale Sharks Women.”

And the second signing is back row Lucy Winter who has four international caps.

She also has previously played for Edinburgh University and the 25 year-old is joining Sharks from Watsonians RFC who have just won the Scottish Women’s Premiership.

She said: “The level of ambition surrounding the programme at Sale Sharks Women has been clear from the outset.

"To learn from some of the talented players in the squad and test myself in the Premier 15s is an exciting prospect and I can’t wait to get started.”

This comes after Sharks signed six other players this week, five of whom from former Premier 15s club Firwood Waterloo.
