England Women are hoping to make history on Saturday as they take on Germany in a friendly. Here is all you need to know ahead of the clash.

Where is it?

The match is being played at Wembley Stadium.

The 90,000 capacity venue is sold out for the fixture as the Lionesses are set to smash the previous record for an England Women's home fixture of 45,619, which was also against Germany back in 2014.

It is also expected to be the highest attendance ever for a women's game in England, beating the 80,203 who witnessed the USA defeat Japan for the Olympic gold medal at London 2012.

What time and channel is it on?

The match kicks off at 5:30pm on Saturday, November 9. Coverage will be on BBC2 from 5:15pm.

What is the form of both sides?

England picked up their first win in six games against Portugal last time out thanks to Beth Mead capitalising on an error from keeper Patricia Morais.

Meanwhile, Germany have been in scintillating form since being knocked out of the World Cup in the quarter-finals by Sweden. They have won all four of their qualifiers, scoring 31 goals in the process.
